Aurélien Suenen's first love was basketball — he played and coached at semi-professional level before returning to the family domaine in 2008 when his father fell ill. Guided by his illustrious neighbours Pascal Agrapart and Anselme Selosse, Aurélien immersed himself in the philosophy of terroir-driven, minimal-intervention winemaking.
Based in Cramant, he made the bold decision to sell off his northern plots to focus entirely on his 3 hectares across the grand cru villages of Chouilly, Oiry and Cramant on the Côte des Blancs. A small but remarkably precise range of Chardonnay-driven Champagnes that reflect both the singular character of each lieu-dit and the quiet determination of the man behind them.
